Community Connection

As a proudly South African school, we actively connect with our local nearby community through our kindness initiatives, teacher mentoring and from 2019 the dynamic iThemba Scholars Programme. It is a core value of our team to help instill values of kindness and caring, as we believe you can make a positive difference no matter how young your age.

Annually we encourage donations towards our Winter Warmth Drive where blankets and pre-loved teddies are collected for the Pre-Schools which our campus-based non-profit organization, Focus on iThemba, partners with. In addition, our Principal, Paula Mason, shares curriculum ideas and teaching tips with these schools.

The life-changing iThemba Scholars Programme offers scholarships for boys and girls who demonstrate the potential to thrive academically to attend Waterfall Schools. The children are selected from the pre-schools based near to our campus partnering with Focus on iThemba. In 2019 we welcomed our first iThemba Scholars and have since welcomed four more children to Waterfall Pre-Primary School as part of this programme. The Fund now supports twelve children from Grade 000 up to Grade 6 at Waterfall Prep and collectively aims to support two new children annually. If you or your business would like the opportunity to facilitate life-altering change and contribute towards the fund please be in contact with Focus on iThemba, Donor Relations Manager, Tayla-Anne Goss at tayla@focusonithemba.org.
